I see this place as Adam once saw Eden, and I see people as Adam once saw Eve.But gone is the garden of perfection. The dirt we've become is the dirt we came from.

Like Lambs to the Meme-Slaughter (or, "If all your friends decided to jump off a cliff would you?"

I am, of course, none other than blank verse.
I don't know where I'm going, yes, quite right;
And when I get there (if I ever do)
I might not recognise it. So? Your point?
Why should I have a destination set?
I'm relatively happy as I am,
And wouldn't want to be forever aimed
Towards some future path or special goal.
It's not to do with laziness, as such.
It's just that one the whole I'd rather not
Be bothered - so I drift contentedly;
An underrated way of life, I find.
What Poetry Form Are You?

A Recipe

Spiderman 3

1 x part swing dance
3 x parts unnecessary, aggrandized patriotism
6 x parts liquor of choice (trust me, you'll want it.)
1 x eyeliner pencil
1 x 30 Seconds to Mars CD.
Marvel Canon, to taste

Place all ingredients in blender. If you've chosen to add any Marvel Canon, be sure to shred it fully before garnishing. (Sam Raimi did.)

Blend on high for 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Allow to stand for ten minutes. This needs time to curdle.

Force down gorge using eyeliner pencil stub.

Drink.

Best served lukewarm, in a vintage Burger King Collectible Star Wars glass, surrounded by disillusioned aging nerdsters.

Your Dosha is Pitta
You have a quick mind, a gift for persuasion, and a sharp sense of humor.
You have both the drive and people skills to be a very successful leader.
Argumentative and a bit stubborn, you have been known to be a little too set in your ways.
But while you may be biased toward your own point of view, you are always honest, fair, and ethical.

With friends: You are outgoing and open to anyone who might want to talk to you

In love: You are picky but passionate

To achieve more balance: Be less judgmental of those around you, and take cool walks in the moonlight.
What's Your Dosha?

Not normally up for these, but a boredom and a love for Miss Maaggie made me do it. Interesting results. Whatever.

History in Three Keys

So. It's been nigh on a month since my last post.

Lots of world-changing events.

I put this off, simply because there's not an easy way to say it.

Amanda and I aren't together any more.
So no wedding, for any of you who might not have been informed. Sorry you had to find out about it this way.

No comments about how sorry you are, or how rough this might be.
This has been the most freeing, liberating, amazing month of my life. Ever. Period.

God has moved in ways I had never imagined. I had been pushing Him away for years, putting off His will for my life, so I could plan a marriage I didn't have any right to be a part of.

And in the end, she and I are on good terms.

New times, new people, new stories.

In all of this, I've learned that no matter how far I thought I might have slipped, His hand never once left the scruff of my neck.

Amazing days are ahead.

Work's looking up, SCA's looking up, Church is AMAZING. And this girl's just entered my life, and I cannot express with words the blessing and the honor it is to spend time with her.

But if any of you people bring me unnecessary drama.... I will cut you.

[not that i'm unstable or anything]

:P

Back from War

Home Safe.

Got a Sable Talon.

Should go to war more often.

Most fun I've had at an event in recent memory.

That is all.
